It’s really very simple. First we need to explain exactly what we mean by hypnosis in this context.
If you ask someone a question then there will be a pause as they process the question, search for an answer and then respond. The more difficult the question the more processing the person will have to do. During this processing whether it lasts a second or a minute the person is in a trance whether they realise it or not. Depending on the type of question they may be in a highly suggestive state and more likely to respond to direct commands.
So asking a question is one route to trance states. What question should you ask? Well it really depends on how you want the person to feel and what you want them to do. If you want to put them in a good mood then a simple question like “What would have to happen for you to be in a good mood now?” will do.
Second stage. The second stage is putting a command in to the question. To show you how to do this we need to have a quick look at how we actually speak. For the purposes of this article we can say things in three ways:
“You understand this concept”
This is said while raising the tone at the end of the statement makes it a question.
Say it in a neutral even tone and it is a statement.
Say it and go down on the ending of the statement and it becomes a command. Try it out loud now to see what I mean.
Now ask the question that you have already formulated and end it on a command tone. You should, if you have done this successfully, get a result from the person and be able to start moving them in the direction that you want them to go.
